Summer Special Weekend

It's special offer time again and we're offering a studio portrait session and 9"x6" print for £10. It's only available on 15th and 16th August so call early to avoid disappointment.

It's been a while since I last posted and it's been a busy few months. All the news of the recession hasn't stopped people wanting their portraits taken with us and we've had a great time meeting old and new clients. There has been a new arrival at Henstead Art & Crafts centre in the shape of Paint & Create, here you can organise birthday parties, have hand and footprints put onto mugs and plates, or just have fun painting your own designs. We'd like to wish them all the very best in their new location and look forward to working with them in the future.

The summer holidays are here which means the house is full when I get home from work and I also get a break from my work as a volunteer mentor at the Ripple Effect study centre at Oulton Broad. It's been a great term working with children to further their education with the help of watersports.

We're off for camping trip for a week and will return refreshed and ready for the coming months.

Broken Bits

Apologies to anyone who has been trying to send us emails or access our website over the past week. It has all been out of action due to problems with technology people at the end of telephones who have been trying to sort it out.

Hopefully it is now on the road to recovery and normal service will be resumed soon.

Happy New Year

Welcome to our first post of 2009. Happy New Year to you all, I hope you had a good festive season. We had a busy end to the year and were fully booked for Christmas sessions. Everybody's orders were completed on time and I'm sure they made great presents.

We had a break over the festive period and spent the New Year in a delightful cottage in the Forest Of Dean. Many bracing walks were had through the forest aswell as castles, caves and cathedrals.

Now we're back and looking forward to a busy start to the year. We've started by launching our popular Bumps & Babes promotion for January. Come and have your bump or newborn photographed in the studio during January for just £10. Book your newborn session at the same time as you book your pregnancy session and you can have both for £15 - that's a saving of £65.

We've got plenty more planned for the coming months so keep popping back to check.

Just a quick note this time to say that if you are after any more prints for Christmas presents then we will need your order by Saturday December 6th. Any orders received after this date we will do our best to get back to you before the festivities.

We've had a great time meeting you all over the past few weeks, we'll be updating the blog with some of our favourite images in the future.

Flying Time And Bumps & Babes

I can't really believe that it's been 3 months since I updated this. Time has certainly flown by.

September saw a special promotion for recent Mums and Mums to be. We met some great little characters and must say congratulations to all those of you who bought your bumps in to be photographed and are now getting used to having an extra little person around the house.

In October we launched our ever popular Half Term Special which was so much of a success that we extended it to cover every weekend in November as well. We are now fully booked for Christmas portraits, but if you're looking for a special Christmas gift then we can offer gift vouchers for portrait sessions. We also have our gallery of stunning images of the local landscape.

As well as being busy with studio sessions during November we've been out during the week at various nursery schools and Parent & Toddler groups. Thanks to those who made me so welcome while photographing the children.

Tuesday November 25th sees the Christmas evening at Henstead Arts & Crafts centre. Why not pop along and visit the various artists at the centre. There'll be complimentary mince pies and mulled wine as well as bell ringers and carol singers. It was a grea evening last year and we're hoping for the same again.

On a final note we've created a new way for you to keep in touch with news and offers from ...andPhotography. We've created a group on Facebook so why not do a search for ...andPhotography and join the group - the more the merrier.

Pampered Pets

Another busy month has culminated in the launch of our special Pet Promotion. For all of August you can bring your pampered pooch or favourite feline along to the studio for a portrait session at the special price of £10. If that's not enough we're also offering a 30% discount off any framed product in our range when chosen at your viewing. Spaces are limited, so contact us as soon as possible if you would like a session.

We're planning more special promotions in the coming months so keep checking back to see what is on offer. We're also planning some changes to the studio which increase the range of portraits we can offer, keep watching our website to see the new examples as they arrive.

Another Month, Another Award

We've recently had more success in the Fujifilm Envisage Awards with another merit in the June round. There were only two merits awarded in June out of around 50 entries, so we're particularly pleased. We're always on the look out for people willing to have their images entered in the competition, so if you like the idea of winning £1000 then please get in touch for a portrait session.

We've also launched a new range of greetings cards in a panoramic aspect. They've already proved really popular and the collection will continue to grow over the coming months. We are also now supplying the gift shop at Harbour Marine Services on Southwold Harbour with a range of cards.

Last week I was inspired to meet with other photographers at 4am at Southwold Pier. While the sunrise wasn't the best I've seen the company was great and a few came back to the studio for some lighting tuition. If you are interested in learning more about the range of effects possible using just a two head flash kit then please give us a call.

I met with fellow photographers in Duxford last week for a presentation by award winning photographer Pete Bristo, it was great to chat with others and I came away with plenty of ideas. To inspire me some more I'm off to Coventry soon for a two day photography seminar so hopefully I'll return with lots of new ideas to increase our product range and give you more variety in what we offer.
